OSG
National distributed computing partnership delivering throughput computing and data access to research teams.
OSG is a national-scale, distributed computing partnership that enables data-intensive research across campuses, labs, and scientific collaborations.
My work in the OSG ecosystem is production operations and platform engineering for throughput computing and data services — the OSPool, and the Open Science Data Federation (OSDF) caches and origins that feed it.
Day to day that means keeping data movement fast and correct, keeping the accounting and monitoring pipelines honest about what actually happened, and shortening the path from a researcher’s first job to a running production workload.
I serve on the OSG executive team.
